       “God, he’s gorgeous, Cass,” Mel gushed, pulling me out of my thoughts. I followed her swooning eyes and immediately found the source standing by the bar. She was right about one thing: he was definitely good looking.

       His hair was dark; his jawline was sharp, complimenting his clean-shaven face. His body was hidden under a pair of dark jeans that hung on his hips and a button up shirt that was layered under a casual suit jacket. He looked professionally polished. He also had more than just mine and Mel’s eyes on him.

       I bit down on my bottom lip. Something else stuck out about him. I glanced back at Mel. “He looks familiar, doesn’t he?”

       She deepened her gaze on him, wrinkles forming around her eyes. “Eh, kind of. Why don’t you go talk to him?” She wiggled her brows.

      “No. I’m not here to pick up guys. I already have an awesome one back at home.” My voice was playful, but my insides clenched at the thought of talking to a guy—especially that guy.

      “Yes. That’s true.” She held up one finger as if she’d just discovered how they get all that caramel into the Caramilk bar. “But this guy can actually take you to dinner.” She laughed and I gave her an exaggerated eye roll. Suddenly, she sat straighter. “Looks to me like you’ve been noticed too. Someone’s hot-ass eyes are locked on your back. I think he knows you were ogling him.”

      “He does?” My heart went from normal to pounding in zero point three seconds. “How?”

      “For real?” She gave me the you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-meglare. “He’s been looking over here all night, but he caught you just as you turned around. I wasn’t able to hide my looky-loo eyes, sorry.” She shrugged as if to let me know she wasn’t sorry. “What if you do know him? School, maybe?”

      “I don’t know. I guess it could’ve been college. He looks older, though.” The urge to see him up close was something I hadn’t experienced before. It was powerful. “Okay, I’ll go, but just because I need to know where I’ve seen him before.” I couldn’t even admit to myself that part of me wanted to talk to this attractive man just because.

My Review 

OMG, OMG OMG.

****YOU WILL NEED ALL THE SUPPLIES WITH THIS BOOK****

This book is explosive. Everything you think you know about a Bella Jewel book, is about to be blown out of the water with Melancholy. This book has everything you could possibly want and SO much more. I think I read this STANDING UP. I couldn't sit down while reading it. It was non stop gasps, oh no's, seriously and so much more. 

The Jokers are so much more than The MC Sinners. OMG you have to read it. I loved this book I couldn't read quick enough. I think this is the best one yet. The beauty of Bella Jewel is every book you read is like the first one you pick up, everyone has something different. She enthrals you with her writing. Making you think this is the first time you have read one of her books. 

This book HAS to go straight to the top of your "TBR" pile.

This pace of this book is like I can only imagine riding a Harley smooth, It vibrates and is fast. Hold on tight because until you are finished YOU will not let go. I loved the characters and finding out Maddocks and Santanas story. 

This book vividly plays out in bright sharp colours inside your mind as you are reading it. You feel like if you blink you will miss something. 

This book is AMAZING, Fantastic, an exceptional read. 

I give this 5/5 stars and 5/5 for movie moments

“I’m not scared of you,” Cambree’s voice is fragile and shaky when she finally speaks. “I’m scared of the dark.”

  The admission almost brings me to my knees. I’ve never known someone to be so honest, especially in my home, where I control everything right down to the temperature, the mood, the lighting. She is not frightened because she is about to screw a complete stranger. She is simply scared of the dark like a child. Yet the thought of her being so forthcoming doesn’t irk me, it makes me feel normal, if only for a few seconds.

  “I cannot help you there, Miss Evans. You see…I am the darkness. With me you have to accept that and move on. If that isn’t something you can become accustomed to, then I am afraid our business deal has ended before we gave it a chance to really blossom.”

    My movement makes a creaking sound as I step forward on the hardwood floor. I can hear her breathing growing more erratic as I near. The smell of jasmine fills my nostrils. The scent is heavenly. “If you want to leave, you know where the door is.” I hope she doesn’t want to flee my presence already.

  Unlike my new guest, my eyes are used to the dark. Where she fights to see me, I can see her silhouette perfectly and I use it to my advantage to drink her up. Cambree stays mute, her body swaying back and forth, her feet firmly glued to the floor.

  “I don’t understand why you have the lights off. That wasn’t explained to me,” Cambree probes.

  “I assume that you read our agreement very carefully?” I ask, taking another step in her direction, wondering why she is wondering such imprudent things.

  “Yes. Yes, I did. But never once did it mention anything about the lights.”

   My voice now exasperated drifts like fog in the air. “I hired you under the pretense that you while you’re here, with me, under my roof, you play by my rules. Rule number one, I like the lights off. I understand now, that you are frightened of the dark, and I do not wish for you to be afraid. Next time, I give you my word to try and be more accommodating to your fears. Now, shall we?”

My Review 

This is a different type of book that Nicole has written. It's a bit dark. But not as dark as some of the books I've read. This is a type of book that will make you understand the darkness, and will pull at your heartstrings a little. 

Nikko has his whole life turned upside down after a brutal attack. One that forces him to take himself and his life in a different direction. but everything he has changed is about to be changed again after Meeting Cambree Evans. 

I liked Nikko and could understand why he felt the way he did. And Girls he's an alpha type. I liked Cambree. Her character is someone I think we can all relate to. I liked the relationship between her and Nikko. Nicole kept me guessing til the end. And it goes to show beauty is really skin deep.

The book is fantastic. If you are a Nicole fan then is a book you don't want to miss. And if your not a fan you need to read this too. I recommend you add this to your "tbr" list. 

I give this 4/5 stars.
