Review

I really liked this series. It was a quick read but jam packed full of what you need out of a book that holds your attention.

I hadn't read any of this series by Morgan Jane Mitchell, so i read from book one - In too Deep,  then never too late. Both books like Love too hot. Are very quick reads but leave you with enough to make you grab for the next one.

I have to say that when I read the blurb I was intrigued about the whole sex addicts story, then got a bit puzzled as to what or how you could go with this. I need to tell you I was so surprised. This books fit the quote " Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover" It is tastefully done and is in context with the story.

The Character's fit together like peanut butter and jelly. At times I felt like shaking Loraine  and  Rick especially in Love too Hot. But Rick makes up for it with Alpha Hotness.

I think you will be surprised with these books. The are fantastic.

I give this books 4/5 stars.

Synopsis

My life was perfectly mapped out for me since before I was born. I followed it, begrudgingly, because it was expected. And then one day, everything changed.

I woke up.

Different. Independent. Free from all the rules that had defined my life.

Only I have no idea how I got to where I am. I have no memory of the last two years. I don’t remember graduating college, and I certainly don’t remember Adam–the boyfriend I live with.

He loves me. And I love him. At least that’s what everyone says. But when my memories return to me as dreams, I see a different version of the man everyone claims is perfect for me. He terrifies me. He makes my heart race and he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before.

Do I want to welcome the emotional chaos that his piercing brown eyes and messy black hair causes every time I get a glimpse of him? Or should I run back to the perfectly manicured life that used to be mine?

My Review

Imagine waking up and not remembering ANYTHING. NOTHING. NO MEMORIES. NOT WHO ANYONE IS.

When I read the blurb for this. I couldn't wait to read it. When I read it, it was so much better than I thought it was going to be. Stacey Lynn does a fantastic job with this. The story keeps you guessing all the way through. I felt like I was talking to myself sometimes, you know the way you think the characters can actually hear you.

I think the effortless way Stacy has wrote this story comes across in the way we understand about Amy's illness. I think if she had wrote it any heavy with terminology I would of lost interest. So for me it was just right. I loved the way Adam and Amy find each other again. I was expecting this to be deep read but it was quite light and I think that's what I loved about it.

This book is amazing. I would definitely recommend you add it to your "TBR" list. I dont think you will be disappointed.

This gets 5/5 stars from me.

Review

I loved this. For me it had that just something different than other MMA books.

Ren Millar has to go and find her dad after her mum dies. Does she find what she's looking for? Not at first. After being given the room in the cupboard, she makes the best of a bad situation. Until she meets Ash Fullar. Beat's bad boy.

Everyone warns her off him. But she doesn't listen.

I loved Ren's character.  She's a strong minded girl. Who knows her own mind. I LOVED ASH, what's not to like.  There is not one thing I can honestly say I liked the best because is flows perfectly into one another. The whole thing is good.  I CAN'T wait for the next one.

If you like MMA book's then you need to add this one to your "TBR" pile.

This book is fantastic.

I give it 4/5 Stars.

Excerpt

My fist slammed into the heavy leather bag, the impact jolting up my arm and absorbing into my torso.
The only light was from the back row of fluorescents I’d switched on over the ring. It was dark, murky and helped me pretend I was someplace else. The drama from the daylight hours was gone and it was just me and the darkness. Exactly the way I liked it.
I began another set of punches, hair sticking to the sweat beading across the back of my neck. Structure. This was the only thing that was predictable in my life and I needed predictable.
Stance. Guard. Punch. Guard. Repeat.
There was a loud cough behind me and I spun on my heel, heart thumping in my chest, and my gaze collided with Ash’s.
“Fuck,” I exclaimed, holding a hand over my heart. “Don’t fucking do that, Ash.” Typical. The creeper was being all creeper again.
“What are you doing?” He stared at me, his gaze hovering a little too long on my bare midriff.
I steadied the bag with one hand, taking deep breaths. “What does it look like?”
“I’ve never seen…” He trailed off and I wondered if I’d finally made the Golden Boy lost for words.
I turned my back so I didn’t have to look at him. “What? A woman in a sports bra? Highly doubt it.” I rolled my eyes and wiped my forehead with the back of my arm. Even though I couldn’t see, I felt his gaze burning into my skin and I suppressed the urge to squeeze my thighs together. Infuriating, self-absorbed, arrogant…

He has a secret.

I’ve never pretended to be good or deserving. I chase who I want, do what I want, act how I want.

I didn’t have time to lust after a woman I had no right to lust after. I told myself to shut up and stay hidden. But then she tried to run. I’d tasted what she could offer me and damned if I would let her go.
One secret destroys them.

Excerpt

My favourite saying was: the beauty in this world was hidden by filth and lies while evil was painted in beauty and smiles.
It had become a testament I lived by. A rule I never broke. Because I no longer trusted beauty and smiles. I learned the hard way.
I learned to scratch the surface and search for truth and realness, all the while protecting myself in lies.
But then a man, who was neither beautiful or a liar, made a proposition. With fear and stupidity, I sold myself to him. Sold myself to a fighter who could sense my lies as easily as a fox senses a rabbit.
I regretted it.
I revelled in it.
It destroyed me.

**
In a lightning move, Fox grabbed my arm and hauled me upright. I teetered on my stupid heels, cursing the pinching pain of blisters. My eyes came to his mouth, and I gulped as he licked his lips.
“Your first order is to put your hands behind your back.” His breath tickled my eyelashes, smelling faintly of chocolate and mint.
I frowned.
“Do it,” Fox demanded.
Slowly, I brought my arms behind my back and linked my fingers. The moment I’d locked them against the small of my back, he hooked his finger into the dip in my dress and dragged me forward. My chest collided with his—my breasts against his hard muscle. My stomach rose and fell, brushing against his chiselled one.
“Don’t unlock your fingers.” His voice acted like fuel to the fire already licking my core. I shivered as his fingers trailed from my hips up to my waist. The pads of his thumbs tickled the sides of my breasts as he worked his way upward.
Slowly. So, slowly. Softly. So, softly.
My vision darkened; I went lightheaded all thanks to the heat he invoked inside me—turning my craving into a lunatic obsession.
I needed his touch. I needed to be petted and pampered and adored. I’d never been a sexual creature, but now I understood why people hungered for it. Why the thought of being taken and worshiped had such maddening appeal.
Shamelessly, I felt wetness building between my legs.
Fox bowed his head, his eyes never leaving mine. Green to grey, vivid to colourless. My lips parted on their own accord; my breath grew shallow as my legs shook.
Inch by inch he came closer, bringing with him the scent of smoke and metal.
I tensed for a fast kiss. A hard kiss. But Fox held himself still, hovering over my mouth only a fraction away from touching. My lips tingled and ached; my tongue wanted to dart out and lick him.
If he was using my body against me, it was working.
A small noise sounded in his chest, and I looked harder into his eyes. Instead of raw passion there, I saw utter confusion. My heart stuttered and once again my protective instincts rose. He shouldn’t be confused. I would kiss him in that moment even if I had to do it for free.
I’d never know who crossed the last millimetre of distance, but I moaned the instant his lips touched mine. Our eyes snapped shut, and nothing else existed but taste.
I kept expecting him to break. To drag me closer and plunge his tongue into my mouth, but he did the opposite. With perfect pressure, he coaxed my lips apart and the very tip of his tongue entered my mouth. His taste intoxicated me, and I strained forward, rubbing my breasts against him.
He stiffened, but didn’t stop kissing me, keeping up the maddening softness, exploring deeper with a gentle tongue. My head swam as I forgot to breathe; my fingers loosened until my hands fell to my sides. All I could think about was touching him, dragging him closer, forcing him to be rough, to end his infuriatingly slow assault.
Something switched in him and his lips pressed harder. Confidence filled his touch and he dragged me closer, hips thrusting just enough for me to feel the hard heat in his slacks. I tipped my head, allowing him better access, wanting him to kiss me deeper.
But he didn’t take advantage.
Slow and soft and coaxing.
It was the best kiss I’d ever received, but also the worst. It sparked lust and need in every inch of me. My lips wanted more, my tongue wanted savagery. My skin wanted to bruise because he needed to touch me so badly.
