I wanted to share with you a Debut book I did a Read4Review on through goodreads. This book compelled me from the beginning. And the Author is sooo talented.
Synopsis
Shay Baynes is a wanted woman: by the police for a double murder, by two rival suitors, and by the evil specter that haunts her dreams.
It’s her twenty-first birthday and she finally feels like she’s in charge, out on her own and about to hit it big with a new comic series. The ink's not dry on her breakout first issue but even Shay's twisted imagination can't predict what will happen when the fine line between reality and nightmare is crossed...
She walked away once from the men who want to control her and now they’re back. But can she break away from them and the specter who walks right off the pages of her comic committing gruesome murders.
What Early Reviewers Had To Say:
“I couldn't read fast enough to find out what was going to happen next.” ~Amy G.
“Roccaforte is focused on witty dialogue and uniquely personal narration. I smiled through a lot of the caustic dialogue.” ~ Author - Nicholas Wilson

My Review
I received this book for in exchange for an honest opinion.
I had seen this book on a few blog site and didn't know if I fancied it. When I read the synopsis it stirred my interest. We meet Shay Banes. A comic book artist who just been recognised. Aides and Eli are both clamouring for Shay's attention. Aiden and Eli are both on again off again with Shay, Aiden's trouble is he just keeps getting up and leaving. And since he's been gone this time Shays got stronger in herself. Eli is a great guy too a lawyer, and loves Shay too, but he drinks.
When the comics Shay is writing start coinciding with the murders that are happening in real life. Is Shay the murderer or is it something else.
I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting. It had me constantly guessing and waiting for things to reveal themselves. Bella has done a fantastic job with this book, I'm not loving the cover its ok. But don't judge a book by the cover right? I can't say too much about this book in fear of giving something away. What I will say is you need to read it. I don't usually or haven't read anything like this before and I am so glad I did.
I liked Shay she was outspoken and trusted her instincts. Aiden's a bit of a player I think. I like Eli but he need to get his drinking in order. I loved the pace and style of this book it's grabs you in and doesn't let go. When it finished I was like What? Seriously?
I can't wait to read part 2. Bella I loved this book but seriously the way it ended- I'm constantly guessing now. If I was watching the TV or a movie I would be screaming at the screen.
Author Interview
Hi Bella, Thank you so much for doing this interview with me, can you
Tell us about you?
Bella: Well I’ve often been called strange and I always take that as a compliment! I presently live in Atlanta with my husband and five awesome kids. I also frequently have some extra teenagers hanging around since I have business class internet. I love to bake, but hate cleaning up and I love telling stories.
What was your inspiration behind writing this book?
Bella: Ironically it stems from a nightmare I had many years ago that stuck with me. I was drawing horrible scenes and they were coming true (in the nightmare). Later I was sitting in the tub shaving my legs and for some reason the words for the first chapter just started spewing out of me. I wrote them down when I got out of the bath and twenty or so years later – we have INK: Fine Lines.
Is There a "Thing" you do to get into the zone for writing?
Bella: Threaten my family to leave me alone.
Is any part of the book about you?
Bella: In book one there are some scenes that are right out of my real life experiences. There really is, or was a crying tree and that night on the dock was inspired by a real marriage proposal.
Who is your favourite character in the book?
Bella: It changes based on what I’m writing at the time. Right now in Vanishing Point (book 2) Carl is my favorite character. But overall I’m sort of partial to McNab.
What are you reading at the moment?
Bella: I’m lucky enough to be reading an advanced copy of A Risk Worth Taking by Heather Hildenbrand – it’s so good!
Did you read as a child and what was your favourite book?
Bella: No actually I am dyslexic, for a long time they didn’t know what to do with me because they thought that I was somehow learning disabled, but acted smart. Reading was always difficult so I stuck to technical manuals and text books until I got an iPad. For some reason reading on the ereader is so much easier for me and now I devour books!
What can you tell us about the next book?
Bella: Book 2 in the INK series is called Vanishing Point, the title says a lot, we lose a lot of main characters along the way and pick some back up as we go (I love writing paranormal). McNab takes quite the center stage as does Eli and of course we find out what actually happened at the end of book one. Many people are confused as to what actually happened, that was by design. There is also a new threat introduced into the mix, which is the last thing that Shay needs right now, but I felt she could handle it.
Whats next for you?
Bella: The INK Series is slated to be a 5 or 6 book series. I also have a few novellas in the works, one of which is available for free as I’m writing the rough draft on Wattpad (INK: Sketches).
After the INK series I have a Young Adult series that’s been rattling around in my brain. We’ll see what comes of it.
Fun Questions
Favourite colour? Purple, no red, no black. Black, definitely black.
Favourite TV show? I’m really enjoying Walking Dead.
Favourite type of book to read? Paranormal and YA.
What is your pet hate? Stupid/rude people. The kind of people that just need hit with a shovel in the face.
Favourite food? All of it! No seriously I have a thing for good bread and cheese. It doesn’t have to be fancy just good.
If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
I finally visit Ireland. I’ve been all over the world, but I’ve never been to my parents’ home and I would like to go one day.
