Book Tour - Crashing into You By B D Rowe

Crashing Into You by B.D. Rowe
Publication date: October 3rd 2013
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Bookish college sophomore Sydney Baker wants Evan Taylor with every ounce of her being. The hottest stud on campus, Evan is six foot four, ripped, stacked with muscles. He’s even easy to talk to.

There’s just one problem: he’s her roommate Melanie’s boyfriend.

But when Melanie tragically dies after a night of wild partying, Sydney and Evan turn to each other in a time of intense grief. And it doesn’t take long for their close friendship to blossom into something more.

Unfortunately for Sydney, secrets from the past soon put her relationship with Evan to the test. Especially when a sexy blonde freshman makes her way into Evan’s life, and tries to rip away everything Sydney holds close to her heart.

My Review

Sydney Baker has experienced enough tragedy in her short live. she was in a car crash with her boyfriend with disastrous consequences. After going to college something else happens when her room mate dies.

The thing is Sydney's in love with Melanie's boyfriend, Evan.

This is such a tragic story from the beginning you feel sorry for Sydney. She finds it hard to make friends and the only friend she has is her gay friend lukas, who has got any friends except Sydney.

You constantly root for better things for her. I did struggle with this at the beginning. You get the feeling that Sydney is a bit immature. Her constant obsessing Over Evan.

This book was enjoyable and a lesson to be learnt about drink driving.

I give this 4/5 stars.

Blog Tour - Shattered By Fate By Jacelyn Rye

Title: Shattered by Fate (Part Two of Fate's Path)
Author: Jacelyn Rye
One heart cannot remember. Another heart cannot forget. Both hearts reach toward something to grasp. For Sarah, it is her past. For Will, it is to bring that past back. The only thing standing squarely in their way — is their future. Each has promised their heart and life to another. But where happiness should be, instead are the dark billowing clouds of a storm of reckoning. The thunder of regret splits a horizon now raining down upon them in shards of shattered promises and unreachable memories. In Book One of this three-part saga, fate seemed it would not be denied, bringing Sarah and Will together in a turbulent world, uniting young hearts for the right reason: love. But — almost as if it has eyes — fate sees to it that no love that is meant to be is allowed to be, without it being tested to the passionate edges of chance. Accidents. Small ones are remembered and retold with a laugh. Useful ones are celebrated. But shattering ones — those are the ones that slip from the fingers of fate. The kinds that are followed by silence as it roars the sound of life changing. And it is this pounding drone that Sarah and Will — once inseparable — now hear when they listen to their hearts. After her accident, Sarah awakens in a hospital room and into a very different life. Will, accidentally buried by heavy timber when he heroically saves a fellow worker, is also delivered into his own unforeseen, disoriented new life. Destiny’s dust never settles. And nothing is clear when doubts appear. Sarah is betrothed to Adley, while Will is engaged to Margaret, yet both are still connected to each other by an indescribable draw seemingly groping out from the deepest reaches of fate. A fate that deliberately leaves the door of temptation cracked open, giving Will a yearning peek at the naked truth of Sarah, who reaches out with the same tortured passions. A fate that leaves both to fight the desperate desires of wanting what each knows they cannot have. A fate that dares them to ask, “What will happen if I finally feel you?”

He carried her into her room, but paused to use his foot to swing the door closed behind them.  He gently laid her on the bed, pulled his arms from under her, and kneeled onto the bed. As he brought his body directly over Sarah’s, she looked up at him, both of their eyes pleading with the other for permission.
No words would come.  The emotion flooding her body now was something completely new, yet so unbelievably familiar.  It was as if she were under a spell.  A wonderful, scary spell.  She reached up to his shoulders and ran her hands to the back of his head.  She gently weaved her fingers into his hair.  Her robe opened slightly with the movement of her arms. It was time.  Time to surrender.
He moved slowly toward her and stopped just above her waiting mouth.  “Sarah,” he whispered, so quietly that she barely heard.  “I’ve dreamt of this for so long.  Please tell me I’m not dreaming, now.”
She ran her hands through his hair again, and shook her head.  “Maybe, it is all a dream.  If it is, I don’t want to wake up.  Please,” she said, as tears filled her eyes, “please, kiss me.”

My Review

I was so excited to be a part of this tour as I was part of the tour for the first book Surrender To Fate.  I am including the link to my first review for surrender To Fate.

This book starts with Sarah in hospital after the Car Crash. Sarah learns the crash had devastating consequences. She's been in a coma for a week as the result of a head injury. Only the thing is she can't remember her childhood.

Her Brother Matty is still away fighting with Adley, Ellie and Oscars son. Who Sarah sort of promised she'd marry.

After learning the news about Sarah, her father's best friend Henry gets a letter from Ellie and Oscar and decides to go and get her and bring her home. To see if he can help her regain her memories.

She doesn't even remember Will.

Will can't believe his eyes when he see's her. The one thing hes been desperate for, Sarah. Only things aren't that simple now, Will's marrying Margaret, Sarah's Nemesis.  And Margaret can't wait to tell Sarah how thing's are.

The thing is, even though Sarah can't remember anything she's trusting her gut and what that's telling her.

OMG, I loved this book. It was Heartbreaking. In book 1 your rooting for Will and Sarah. And in this book we're still rooting for them. and although they have both said they marry other people, you still want them to get together, they both are fighting the attraction between them.

Then Adley returns.

I loved  the characters except for Margaret, she's the type of character you just want to reach in and shake and put in a different story-on her own.

Jacelyn does a fantastic job in the way she writes to be able to make you feel these emotions about a character. The pace and flow of the writing is perfect. I couldn't wait to get to the next page.

It makes you think that no matter how much you think you have control over your life, Fate always has other plans. Things happen for a reason.

Jacelyn, This book is amazing. Its a beautiful, stunningly written book. that enthrals you as soon as you start reading it.

I can't wait for Chosen for You coming soon.

I received an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.

 I give this 5/5 stars.

Book 1:
Surrender to Fate (Part One of Fate's Path) :

About The Author
Jacelyn Rye is many things. She can be as alluring as the love that flows from her pen: pure, honest, simple. But then, like a storm that suddenly appears over the mountain, she can also have you running for shelter where there’s no place to hide. Like life, itself, Jacelyn delivers the hard with the soft, the pain with the joy, the instant with the forever. All of it, for a reason. And it’s there that one can best enter her life.
“I believe in signs, I believe everything happens for a reason,” she’ll tell you. If you know someone like that, you already know a primal piece of Jacelyn — a person who actually listens to the Universe because there, she knows she’ll find more than answers, she’ll find reasons. And those reasons give her insights about nature, and human nature, both of which she invites us to explore with her.
Growing up in the blue sky country of Colorado doesn’t leave an impression, it becomes a lifeblood. For Jacelyn, the clarity of that truth flows through her stories, her characters and her inherent spirituality that somehow knows faith, in the end, triumphs over despair.
Through her storytelling — firmly stimulated by that early country life that taught her to always be prepared when venturing forth — Jacelyn’s uncanny ability to “see” what could happen takes readers into a crystal ball where the future’s many possible outcomes await in a swirl of incandescence, right down to the details of smell, touch, fear, love.
Because life also presents its possibilities in dreams, Jacelyn holds dear that open door. “My dreams mean a lot to me. I listen to them, solve problems in them, learn from them,” she confides. It figures, then, that when you read her stories, you’d best get ready for a trip with an original dream weaver.
And then, there’s serendipity. To know Jacelyn is to accept a dance with chance. She accepted one such chance when she moved from her beloved Colorado to an unknown life awaiting her in Southern California, where she lives today. “I knew another beautiful world was out there. I was ready for adventure,” she says, with the confidence that proves her faith is more than just words. “I moved from Colorado as soon as I graduated from college, thanks to a great job offer. The night after I received my job offer, I saw a commercial that said, ‘California, find yourself here.’ In that moment, I stopped debating the move and took it as a sign that my adventure would be found in California.”
As Jacelyn does so well, she shares those adventures in her writing. In her first book series, you’ll find Jacelyn’s experiences of this major life change play out in Sarah, who also moves from Colorado to California. “What I’ve seen and felt enable me to write realistically about how a Colorado mountain girl feels about living in California.”
In the quiet mornings, you’ll find Jacelyn savoring her coffee, outside. To her, it’s all about listening, breathing in, appreciating being here for another day. And of course, there’s time spent in the mountains, fishing, wading in creeks with the people she loves. Curiously, this girl who comes from the mile-high mountains, still fears the miles-deep ocean she frequently visits, but only to sink her toes in the hot sand and watch, in awe and respect, the thundering surf.
On any given day, be it in the mountains, at the beach, or on her terrace, Jacelyn is dreaming and writing, her way of sharing something meaningful with those who come to know her.
One thing is for sure, wherever she goes, wherever she’s been, Jacelyn is aware and thankful for the gifts around her. Indeed, although she does not get back to Colorado that often, she’s there in spirit, and in absolute detail, in a moment’s call. “The smells, the sound aspen leaves make when the wind asks them to dance, how tall pines gently sway back and forth against a backdrop of the bluest blue I’ve ever known.” That’s someone who takes it all in, who takes it all with her, and who offers it to everyone who opens her books.

There's only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that's husbands who cheat on their wives.

There's only one problem in Sophie Black's life. Her cheating husband...

From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.

Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from Kitty French, a romance so hot it'll burn your fingers...

CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he's built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until Sophie Black, that is...

From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien Knight's PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the rabbit hole.
Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red, glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.
Lucien strips away all of Sophie's inhibitions, and when he instructs her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of Monopoly on his mind...
He's opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go? And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?
Lucien & Sophie's is a story of star crossed love and forbidden passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives forever. Let it change yours, too.
Excerpt for Knight and Play

“My husband is having an affair, Lucien.”
He had the grace to look genuinely shocked, then waited and watched for her to
“And here’s the thing. Right at this moment, he’s God knows where with God
knows who until next weekend, and I don’t think I even care.”
How good did it feel to say that? Sophie was momentarily taken aback by the
strength of her relief at hearing her own words out loud. Dan had held her down with
his casual disinterest for long enough. Acknowledging it was a release. Lucien
crossed the room slowly, never taking his eyes off her, and sat in the chair opposite.
“He’s a fucking fool.”
Sophie shrugged and looked out of the window. “Maybe. He’s avoided having sex
with me for more than six months now.”
“I’ll say it again. He’s a fucking fool.”
Sophie gazed at Lucien opposite. Jesus, he was beautiful. If she was going to be
unfaithful with anyone, this sinful, sexy man was it.
“Would it help if we fucked?”
Sophie laughed and put her hands to her cheeks in shock.
“Could we at least have a drink first?”

Excerpt from Knight and Stay

"You didn't come to work on Monday."

Sophie placed the mugs on the table and sat down opposite Lucien.
"Did you seriously expect me to?"
He lifted one shoulder, as if bemused she even needed to ask. "Yes."
She shook her head. He couldn't be serious. "You hit my husband."
"Do you expect me to apologise? He deserved it." Lucien worked hard to maintain his casual bearing but the expression in his eyes went from cool to lava hot, leaving Sophie well aware of how on edge he was.
"You had no right." Sophie's fingernails bit into her palms as her fists tightened. "I wanted to do things my way. You took away my choices."
She watched him digest her words and for the briefest moment, saw uncertainty flicker in his eyes.
"Choices?" He leaned forward and drummed his fingers on the table. "Way I see it, you didn't have any choices to make, Sophie. Your husband's a lowlife, you needed rid of him."
Sophie mirrored his rigid stance across the table. "And there you go again, making my decisions for me."
A pulse flickered along the hard set of his clenched jaw.
"I thought you'd make the wrong one."
"So you made it for me."
He leaned back, folding his arms defiantly across his chest.
"I'm not sorry."
"Men never are." Sophie regretted the cheap generalisation the moment it left her lips, but the last few days had left her more than a little jaded.
"I'm not like him, Sophie." Lucien's words were spoken so softly that Sophie only just caught them.
"No. No, you're not like him," she spat. "You're your very own brand of fucked up, Lucien."

Kara Brookes hates liars.
Dylan Day hasn’t told the truth from the moment his plane touched down in Ibiza.
It’s a recipe for disaster.
Lucien and Sophie are back, and have set up camp on the sun-drenched isle of Ibiza for the opening of the latest of Lucien’s strictly adult clubs.
They’re joined for the summer by Sophie’s best friend Kara, and Dylan Day, Lucien’s newly appointed club manager. The laid back, smokin’ hot surf guy from California seems almost too good to be true… but there’s no smoke without fire. It’s going to be a long hot summer of love, lust, lies and wedding bells. But who will get their happy ever after?
Romantic, emotional and intensely erotic, Knight & Day is the thrilling final installment of the USA Today bestselling Knight Series from Kitty French.

Excerpt from Knight and Day

“Go home Kara. Go home and be happy, because you deserve to be more than anyone else I know. Go
home knowing that I truly fucking loved you. You didn’t get it wrong. I didn’t fool you, and the next man who loves you won’t automatically be lying to you. He’ll be the luckiest guy in the world. Don’t run away from love because of what I did. I lied about many things, but never once about how I felt about you.”
Kara stopped trying to hold her tears in. It was a battle she’d never win, and Dylan was barely hanging on himself. He reached out and brushed the back of his fingers over her damp cheek.
“Go home knowing I love your huge fucking heart, and your laugh, and the way you do everything full
throttle even though there’s every chance you’ll break your neck. I’m not going to ask you to stay. Not
because I don’t want you, or because I don’t love you, or because I don’t need you. I do. I love you, and I want you, and I need you so much it hurts to wake up in the morning without you.” His voice cracked. “Let that be my liar’s penance.”

“You are the fucking coolest girl I’ve ever met, and the craziest, and the kindest,” he said softly. “Go

home, English. You’re out of my league. You always were.”

My Review

OMG, WOW!!!! WOW!!!! WOW!!!!!

OK ladies, this is a series that gives 50 Shades Of Grey by EL James and The Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day a run for their money. For those of us who loved those series - you will LOVE This series. This is one set of books you need to read ASAP.

Book 1 - Knight and Play

In this book we meet Sophie Black and her best friend Kara Brookes. A  young married woman who is currently working for a leech of a boss. A husband who doesn't notice her any more is always working away and pleads tiredness when he is at home. So it's been 6 months since they've had sex.
She wont admit to her self she thinks he's having an affair.
She's sick of her boss and his runaway hands, so goes about looking for some thing else. When she sees the advert for a PA for Knights Inc. After kissing the envelope for luck. She doesn't realise her life is about to change in more ways than one.

We also say hello to Lucien Knight, he's the ultimate gorgeous CEO of Adult Entertainment, had plenty of women and doesn't believe in love or commitment.  OMG.
Hold on tight girls. Another Hot, Sexy, Alpha male.

Book 2 - Knight and Stay

In this book, we see a HUGE change in Sophie. After getting over her shock of the Adult World of Entertainment, thanks to Lucien. She's got her zest back, she believes in herself. And she's had a week With Lucien Knight. And what a week its been. One they both never thought would change there lives.

Her husband Dan comes home from his business trip, only it wasn't a business trip he'd been away with her mistress.
Sophie and Lucien have to both decide what happens next is down to them both.

Book 3 Knight and Day

In this book we see the story coming to an end. We see what happens to Sophie and Lucien.
We also see Kara.
They are in Ibiza to open another one of Lucien's clubs.
We also meet Dylan Day. Another Hottie. Yes that two hot, sexy alphas in one book!!!
Dylan's not his real name though and he's hiding secrets. After both him and Kara get it together purely for sex. They both begin to see each other in more than just friends with benefits.
After being stood up at the alter, Kara asks one thing of Dylan - Don't ever lie.
The thing with secrets is they have a habit of coming out.

So what did I think?

I loved this series. It wasn't dark. It had LOTS of sexy scenes. Like LOTS.  What I did like, was the synopsis were spot on. Sometimes you can read a synopsis and it doesn't really give the information properly about the story. I liked that the books followed on from where they left off. The pace and flow was perfect.

I've said this before and I am saying it again. The danger of a series is that by book 3 your kind of thinking this is dragged out of kind of lost you at book 2.  This is not the case with this series. It Works everything about it works.

I loved Sophie. I think a lot of people can related to Sophie. She's sweet and trusting and strong without knowing it she is. I loved Kara she talks without having a filter on. Lucien what can I say.... Everyone should have a Lucien or a Dylan.

For those who are offended by the adult industry this isn't for you. For those of us who are not offended this is for you.

I have to tell you, once you start reading this series, be prepared to ignore EVERYTHING. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. I read these books one after the other. I couldn't put them down. When you read these the supplies need to come out.

Lockable room for a long while.
Ear plugs - because you aren't going to want to be disturbed.
Drinks and snacks.
And a Fan to keep you cool - because it's going to get hot, hot, hot.

Kitty, This series is enthralling. It's stunningly written. Its exceptional in its Story. It's amazing fantastic. I cant wait to see what's next.

This gets 5/5 stars and 5/5 for movie moments.

Lynsie Fox has what she considers to be a perfect life. Married to Lincoln, a military pilot, she's living the Army life she's always loved. Being a sucker for great love stories, Lynsie makes it her mission to find Lincoln's best friend and co-pilot, Dax Adams, a good woman.
Losing the one woman he's ever loved, Dax attempts to be a good sport by playing along in Lynsie's match-making scheme. However, Dax is certain he will never get the woman of his dreams.
But life doesn't always fly smoothly. When turbulence strikes, Lynsie watches her world crash and burn around her, leaving her empty with broken wings. Despite her grief, can she mend the pieces back together and learn to fly again?
I’m instantly nervous as soon as I see his name flashing on the screen of my phone. I wipe my clammy hand against my apron as I hesitate to push answer. My father never calls me when he’s at work, and knowing that Lincoln is training today, I fear the worst.
“What’s wrong, dad?” I answer with panic evident in my voice.
My dad’s soothing voice instantly persuades my worry to ease. “Lynsie, I know you’re at work, but I’m glad you answered.”
“I know you are too, and that you wouldn’t call me unless something was wrong. Is it Lincoln? Is everything okay?” I sit hunched over in my chair bracing myself for what’s to come.
“Yes, Lincoln is fine.” He sighs. “It’s Travis Robinson.” I let that name bounce around as I try to figure out if it’s a name I should be familiar with. Nothing is coming to me as I wait for my dad to continue. “Lincoln and Travis joined the Army the same year. They had flown Apache’s together back in Savannah early on in their careers. They even went to Fixed Wing Training and did some other overseas training together. I’m pretty sure you’ve never actually met him, because this all took place before you met Lincoln.”
“Okay. So, what’s going on?”
“He died today.” I gasp causing everyone within ear distance to look my way. “He was doing Recon training in Texas this past month and something went horribly wrong today during a normal routine. Anyways, I’m calling you because I know Lincoln and him were actually very close…as close as you can get with one of your fellow pilots with all the moving around that takes place. I just want you to be prepared for when he gets home this afternoon. I haven’t told him yet, but as soon as he lands his plane and gets in, I’m going to. He’s going to need you, Lyns.”
The silence a reminder of when I was younger and my father lost one of his dear friends. He knew the chances of it happening to a fellow pilot or himself were highly likely in this job field. But he’d always say, “Shit happens and you can’t live your life in fear of it”.
I guess that’s the truth, but sometimes I wonder why people purposely put themselves in positions that the probability of something horrible taking place outweigh the likelihood that it won’t.
“Is it still hard for you?” I ask questioning if after ten years, the death of a friend gets any easier to deal with.
“It doesn’t hurt as bad, if that’s what you mean. But every time I’m up in the sky, I think about him, and everyone I’ve known that has died doing what we love.”
It’s times like these that make me frightful of my husband’s job. Typically the only time fear rises up in us Army spouses is when the threat of war or being sent overseas arises. But in all reality, that’s not the case. Death can easily be creeping its way up our doorstep. It very well could be hanging out in our backyard just wanting for the most unexpected time to strike. I shake my head of that looming fear that plays with my mind every so often, and pull my act together knowing my husband is going to need his supportive wife at his side—not a weak, scared one, who wants to second guess his passion in life.

“Do you feel that, Kylie?” He continues to caress my arm with his hand. “That’s power running between you and me. I never imagined it would be so strong, so intense. Can you even conceive what my body rubbing against yours well feel like? Please unlike either one of us has ever experienced. Sex in its greatest form.”
His words hypnotize me, seduce me, and demolish my inhibitions so that even my common sense agrees with what he is saying. I’ve never wanted sex as much as I want it with Dray at this moment. In my head, I can see images of us entwined together, his dark against my light skin. The sight, in my mind’s eye, so clear, so erotic, that my breathing becomes erratic just with the thought. Closing my eyes, I feel his fingers glide to my breasts, circling the tip through my clothes. My clit throbs in tune with his movements almost as if he is touching me there. Dray grasps my nipple tightly as he pulls and squeezes. The dual motion overwhelms my senses, and an orgasm overcomes me, rippling up and through my body. Clenching my legs together, I moan as I ride it out. My body shakes, tingling with the aftermath of what just happened, and what I need to be happening again; however, sanity returns with me still sitting on the side of the couch. Opening my eyes, Dray stares at me like he knows my every thought. At least now, he has a supreme satisfied smile on his mouth and his shorts are in a superior tent out front.
“Damn girl. That is about the hottest sight I’ve ever seen. Had you been butt-naked, I think I would have exploded right along with you.”

My Review

I love the cover on this, its so fun and girly. I was intrigued to read this.

Kylie and Madison are best friends. And part of the social elite. kylie has a boutique that is very successful, which was her Aunts before she got sick.

Kylie's other two best friends are Trent and Dray Both are orphans and our brother in every way but blood. Trent she has been in love with since they met as kids. Dray they have a hate relationship. the people closest to Kylie know how she feels about Trent but him.

After Dray gets injured, Trent pleads with Kylie to go and be with Dray as he's out of the country. So Kylie goes and becomes his nurse bringing the two closer, then Trent gets home.

This was a fantastic story. I loved how it never played out like I thought. I loved Kylie, a strong, Independent woman, how begins to let herself relax when she becomes friends with Dray.

I loved Dray, A Hot Alpha Male. It made me laugh with the banter between him and Kylie before they became friends.  Got to tell you though I wasn't fussed on Trent.

This book needs to be added to your "TBR" list.

Its Funny, Sexy, Emotional, And keeps you guessing as to who gets the girl.

I loved this and it gets 5/5 stars.

I love angst….I thrive on it, but only the fictional kind. I adore a story that grips the reader from the beginning and doesn’t let go…EVER. I’m an avid reader who just recently discovered my love of writing. My favorite things in life include my three wild & crazy kids, Reese’s Pieces, and every genre of music. I reside in the Deep South.
