Synopsis
Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.
Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.
Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .

My Review
I love Jay Crownover's books. The Marked Men series is a favourite of mine. For those of you who have read them we had already had a brief view of Rome in the previous books - Rule and Jet.
Until he comes home for good. He's lost and doesn't know what to do or how he fits in any more. Then he meets Cora...... She's the complete opposite to Rome.
I loved book. When you read a book by Jay Crownover, She has the amazing talent of transporting you into a whole new colourful, tattooed world with hot alpha males.
What can I tell you about this book without giving anything away cos you guys know I don't do spoilers this one is no different.
This book had me from the cover I mean who wouldn't. That's exactly how I envisioned Rome to be. A hot, alpha military type, hell yeah. I loved the interaction between Cora and Rome.
Cora has had a hard life. she has a tough exterior but a soft centre. And she's not afraid of Rome. And goes out of her way to tell him.
This book is number 3 in the Marked Men series. And although its not a sequel or a follow on, It can be read on its own. I do recommend you read from the beginning. You don't want to miss anything about these hot males. You may think that by book 3 that story starts to get a bit thin or loses it quality. But the amazing talent of Jay is that this book is like reading the first book. The pace and flow of the story is just right.
Jay, This book is stunning and compelling. It leaves you wanting more. It pulls you in from the first page and doesn't let go until you have read it. I read this in one sitting i couldn't put it down until I had finished it. This book is Fantastic. You need to read this book.
I was given an Arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I give this book 5/5 stars and 5/5 for movie moments.
About the Author
I’m supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I’m an natural redhead even though I haven’t seen my real hair color in years, I’m a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I’ve been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.
I love to write, love to read and all I’m interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.
