Release Blitz - Dare To Desire By Carly Phillips

Title: Dare to Desire (Dare to Love #2)
Author: Carly Phillips
Release Date: April 10, 2014
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Quarterback Alex Dare, had it all -- an all-star football career with the Tampa Breakers and his choice of willing women -- until a severe injury forces him into early retirement. When he is offered a ground-breaking position with a rival team, he’s intrigued, but there’s a catch. He’ll be working alongside the same woman he hasn’t been able to get out of his head for too long.

Social worker Madison Evans grew up in foster homes and knows first hand what it means to have-not. She isn't impressed by Alex Dare’s wealth or charm. Not since she fell hard for him once before, only to discover she was just one of his too-easy conquests. This time around Madison refuses to succumb to Alex so easily.

But Alex wants Madison. And if there is one thing Alex does well, it’s to get what he wants. The playboy athlete must prove he’s got game in more places than on the field. He means to prove that he’s a changed man but no sooner does he begin to break through Madison’s defenses when a new opportunity comes knocking and threatens her new-found trust. Can he make Madison take a risk and dare to love?
Without replying, Ian opened the door. They stepped into the room, and Alex laid eyes on the one woman he hadn’t been expecting to see. The same woman who’d haunted his dreams and sidetracked him from many of his nightmares.

Madison faced him head on. Her shoulders drawn back, golden-blonde hair pulled away from her face, she didn’t back down from his stare. She wore a pair of black slacks that hugged her curves and a white silky-looking top that clung to her generous breasts. And those unusually blue eyes frosted over at the sight of him.

“Alex, I believe you know Madison Evans.”

Blindsided — and his half brother knew it — Alex strode up to her. He inhaled her familiar fruity scent, which only served as a reminder of the hot times he’d spent breathing her in as his cock moved inside her body. Her effect on him was potent, and even the most common expressions failed him.

“Alex,” she said, her cool tone bringing his head out of the desire-filled fog he’d found himself in.

“Hey, Angel,” he said, using the endearment he’d started calling her during their brief time together. Another sign he’d had it bad, whether he’d wanted to admit it or not.

Her head whipped up, her eyes narrowing and settling on Ian. “This won’t work.” She turned to go.

Alex still had excellent reflexes, and he grabbed her arm before she could stride past him.

She glared.

He didn’t look away, determined to win this battle of wills. This potential job, which had interested him on an intellectual and emotional level initially, suddenly felt even more important, and she was the reason.

“We need to talk,” he insisted.

“I have nothing to say.”

“Ian’s proposition said otherwise.”

Madison looked over his shoulder in search of Ian and frowned. “Well, the traitor is gone. No big surprise there.”

Smart man, Alex thought. “If I let you go, will you stay long enough to discuss this position Ian and Riley want me to take?”

She let out a frustrated puff of air.

He took that as a yes and released her.

“Us working together is not a good idea, and somewhere in that thick head of yours, you know that.”

“Because we slept together? More than a couple of times?”

She set her jaw. “That was a mistake.”

Ouch. That hurt, he thought, and filed away the why to deal with later. “I want to know more about this training program and what my role in it would be.”

“Why? You can’t possibly be interested.”

“It sounds more like you don’t want me to be interested.”

She rolled her shoulders back even farther, stiffening her posture. “You’re right. I don’t. This is a serious project that could help a lot of people and have far-reaching positive repercussions for years to come. I need a partner willing to go all in. And let’s face it, I’ve seen your staying power. It’s nonexistent.”

My Review

This book was good, it didn't grab me the way some books do.

Alex Dare is a football player, who has it all, money, fame ,women, until he meets Madison. They start something casual. And then that moment happens that all athletes dread, he has a serious injury. And His career is over. So he pushes Madison away.

Madison is used to rejection, she was brought up in the foster care system.

I liked the concept of the story. I liked the characters Alex and Madison. I liked the plot of the story. But if I'm honest it didn't grab me from the start and not let go. I enjoyed reading it.

It is a good story full of a hot male, plenty of angst.

I give this 3.5/5 Stars.

I was gifted a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

Title: Holding Her In Madness
Author: Kimber S. Dawn
Release Date: March 22, 2014
Leo's Story of loving A Woman Gone Mad

Fuck first love.

Fuck fate.

And Fuck You.

I'm Leo and this is my side of the story. This is where I came from, where I've been, and where I'm at...this is the story of a man that loved A Woman Gone Mad. I'm not telling it because I'm searching for absolution, pity, or even understanding from you, I'm for damn sure not telling it because I give a fuck what you think about me. I'm telling it because its MY story and if you don't like it...Suck it.

If you're searching for a happily ever after, a prince with a glass slipper searching for the princess to sweep her off her feet...I'm sorry but this isn't that story.

It's about pain. Obsession. Regret. And time lost.

I fell in love with Lil back when we were way too young, I fell hard and I fell fast. When everything else around me was spinning in circles, she was the only sure thing that stood still.

When you finally get your happily ever after it's supposed to be happy.

But like I said this isn't that story...

It's just me Holding Her in Madness, fighting against Lil's demons in the middle of fucking hell.

***Warning: This is not a shy and tender fairytale love story. It's a raw, tragic, and gritty story inspired by true events. This book is not for the faint of heart, it contains graphic language, sex, violence, and drug use. MATURE Audiences Only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

Book Trailer - Holding Her In Madness

As a man, sometimes you have to do what the fuck you have to do.
When you’ve been where I’ve been, seen the shit I’ve seen, and been shredded as many times as I have, there is no other option. Even if it means your life is hell. Even if it means from this point on, you are the one who carries all the weight and burden.

You fuckin’ do it because you love a woman, the only woman in this whole damn world. You do it because she’s your soul mate.  And without her, YOU would rather be fucking dead.

My Review

OMG.....This book has me stuck for words. This is a book I have been dying to read after reading the first book - A Woman Gone Mad. When I saw the book trailer I was so frightened to pick up the book. It was one of those movie moments were you are looking at the TV through your fingers - you want to look but are so scared at what you will see.

This is one of those books that is going to leave you thinking about it for weeks. It gets right into your soul and takes root. This book had me reaching for the tissues as soon as I started reading it.

A Woman Gone Mad is from Lils point of view and we know how heart wrenching that was. I don't think I stopped crying all the way through.

Holding Her In Madness is from Leo's point of view and OMFG..... What a point of view. I really didn't know what to think when I read the blurb about this being from Leo's pov. Usually in a story when in has both pov's it works. But once you have read Leo's point of view you realise the male pov are all dull in comparison.  This is by far the best male pov I have ever read. Kimbers style of writing is amazing that I could actually picture Leo stood/sat/ pacing telling his side. For me the sign of an amazing book is when you can picture the story playing out like a movie in your mind.

And let me tell you this plays out like your in the cinema, sound, picture the lot.

Kimber gets Leo's pov so right, it really come across like a man's pov not a woman trying to tell a man's pov. And when you hear it from Leo, it breaks your heart.

This story is traumatic, heart breaking, soul destroying and full of love. I cant begin to tell you the emotions I went through reading it. I rooted for Leo all the way through.

I am not going to give you my version on what the story is about, you need to hear it from Leo himself.

I will say, it makes you think of the consequences of actions.

I love Lillian and Leo. Everyone should have a Leo.

This is a story of true love, fate and the in between.

After reading this and getting to the end, my heart is hurting that this story is over, I CAN NOT WAIT to see what Kimber writes next.

Sometimes when you read a debut book you can tell in the style of writing that it's a debut book. But with kimber the style, pace and tone for the book is that of a seasoned author.

Kimber, What can I say about this book except F****** Hell girl. This book is outstanding. It's compelling and enthrals you from the first page. Its Stunning in it entirety. It's fantastically written. Its emotional. It tore my heart into pieces. And I loved it. I read it from start to finish in one go.  And I still can't stop thinking about it.

Kimber Dawn is an author to watch out for. If you don't add these books to your "TBR" pile and read them you are seriously missing out.

Without A doubt this book gets 5/5 stars and 5/5 for movie moments

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest opinion.

A Woman Gone Mad

Forget everything you know about fairytales. There comes a point in a woman's life when she realizes not everyone gets a happy ending.

And no one knows this better than Lillian Shaw.

The safety of a small southern upbringing and a happy normal family couldn't keep life from chipping away at her.

And nothing leaves its mark like the bite of a broken heart.

Blow after blow, Lillian tries to stay optimistic, but when faced with a choice that could destroy her future, she gives in to the temptation.

When your first true love comes crashing into your happily ever after, you're supposed to walk away. Not fall back in love.

But saying no to Leo was something Lillian could never do...

Once lines are crossed is there any going back?

Or is the risk that Lillian Shaw takes going to leave her broken again...

And this time be enough to make her A Woman Gone Mad?

My Review from when I was part of the blog tour

Debut Book

Lillian Shaw's boyfriend Michael cheats on her. Her life changes, She starts babysitting and meets Leo. After again more heartbreak. She meets Nick. Will this be the end of Lillians heartbreak.

Ok guys i know that was short and sweet, but the cello tape is on, I don't want to tell you too much about this story, for fear of giving anything away or spoiling it.

I will you, for a Debut book.... WOWWWW. This is the most amazing book I've read.  I have to tell you I couldn't put it down. I cried Big Fat Huge tears, I gasped, I went through the whole range of emotions. That you would expect from a seasoned author.

If I had to pick a Favourite character it would definitely be Lillian and leo. For reasons you will discover when you read this book. Yes this book is that great I am frightened of letting anything slip.

This book is one persons struggles. This book makes you sit up and think and stays with you long after you have read it.

This Book is  Completely Stunning. Its an exceptional read.

The supplies need to come out with this one.

About the Author
Who is Kimber? Shit, sometimes even I don't know, lmao. However if I had to type up an author bio (which, son of a bitch, I do) this is how it would read. BTW, caught a lot of shit for this author bio. Really don't give a fuck though, because I was asked to type up a bio. And if I can only say one thing for certain about myself, it's this: I'm real, I don't back down from what I believe, I say what I mean, and I mean what I say. I don't bite my tongue and I never try to hide the ugly parts of who I am... You either love me or hate me, but if you love me... I'll always be loyal, no fucking matter what ;)

I can be called a billon different things—daughter, wife, mother, labor unit nurse. I sell pussy on the side. *Coughs* That would be Persian kittens, thank you…you dirty-minded scoundrel. I'm a book blogger, book pimp, and a book whore. My two indulgences are my Jack’s in life…Jack Daniel’s and Blackjack. My biggest dream, the day I'll acknowledge that I've succeeded in life and can I die a happy woman, is the day I get to go two stark-naked hour-round sexual bouts with Jason Statham. *Sighs*

I was born and raised in Louisiana… and No, I do NOT live in a bayou, I actually see the beaches on the gulf coast more than I see a bayou, lol. I started writing poems and short stories very early in my life. You know, for the Michaels and Leos and Nicks in my life. I've been a book hoarder since I was eleven years old, but then a couple years ago something wonderful happened! The 50 Shades of Grey craze brought to life my inner smut whore and I commenced to read anything and everything smut affiliated. When reading wasn't enough anymore and I noticed that so many of the authors of my favorite indie authors and their books weren't getting the exposure their work deserved, I turned it into a mission, starting my own blog, buying their books and reading them one by one. I then wrote my reviews for my blog and didn't hold back in writing them (Hell yeah those motherfuckers a profanity laden). I've never done a single thing in my life halfway. I always go all in. After the success of my Blog, and the insistence of one of my bestest friends, my sister from another mister, Trina Taylor of Bad & Dirty Books, I was ready to finally take the plunge and see if I could write a book that was worth a damn. I'm a Southern girl to my core, a self-proclaimed smut whore, and I keep hearing that I’m an author, but honestly… I don’t believe the rumors, lol. I don’t feel like a kickass bitch spittin’ out lyrics, or stories, like a motherfuckin’ rockstar. Tattooed across my ribs are the words I have always lived by: 'Aut viam inveniam aut faciam tibi.' Latin for: If I cannot find a way, I will make my own. If you want to contact me, give me a shout out at 3am because my story just decimated your work day potential, or hell if you want to stalk me (I’ve met some of my BFF’s that way, don’t judge a stalker, they are awesome, fun, kickass bitches) follow me on these links:

Cover Reveal - Stolen Course By Aly Martinez

Title: Stolen Course (Wrecked and Ruined #2)
Author: Aly Martinez
Release Date: May 21, 2014
Genre: New Adult Romance
I fell in love with Manda Baker eight years ago, and I loved her to the core of her soul. We were supposed to have that elusive happily ever after and spend a lifetime together. But that was all before she was STOLEN from me.

Her best friend, Sarah Erickson, killed her. It wasn’t intentional. It was far worse. Everyone claims it was just an accident, but I can see through the lies. Even if it’s with my dying breath, I will make her pay for what she did.

Fate hates me. It robbed me of my first love and left me to navigate through this world emotionless and numb. Then, one day, spiteful fate gave me a woman to fill my shattered soul and make me feel again. It gave me Emma Jane Erickson. Now I spend my days searching for the answers that will ruin Sarah and my nights falling in love with her sister—the one person who is bound and determined to save her.

But what happens when everything you know to be true explodes around you? Who will be left to pick up the pieces, and who will need to be saved from the wreckage?

“It’s not fucking them!” I punch the dashboard and scream at my partner, Brett, as he weaves through traffic. Just moments ago, we received a page that will destroy one of us forever. It said a bunch of words, but the only four I can remember are “One fatality, one injury.” I reject the very possibility that this has anything to do with my Manda, but the vise currently holding my heart still twists even tighter. I drop my head to my hands as I wage war with reality. If that message is accurate, I have a fifty-fifty chance that my life is over. Done. Finished. I’ll never survive losing Manda. Never.

It can’t be her. We haven’t even gotten married yet. We are supposed to get married and have a life together. We have a plan. A knife lands hard in my stomach as I try to reason my way out of this mess. It can’t be her. Manda is strong and healthy. No accident in the world could steal her from me. Yeah, she’s tough. She’s got to be the one who’s injured. Something simple, maybe a broken arm. We can fix that. I just need her to be alive, anything else we can deal with together.

The car barely slows before I’m out and sprinting toward the twisted metal on the side of the highway. Every hope I have of this being a big misunderstanding vanishes into the night when I recognize Sarah’s car. Reality slices me open, but the promise of only an injury keeps my legs moving forward.

“Detective Jones!” I hear shouted, but I continue to run. I slow only when I get to a group of officers.

“Where is she?” I demand, but deep down I’m terrified to hear the answer.

“Caleb, take a second and catch your breath.” “Where the fuck is she!” My eyes scan the faces lining the road, desperately searching for Manda’s fiery red hair and green eyes. But instead, they land on a white sheet covering what I know to be a body. My heart begins to race as I once again try to fight all rational thinking that tells me it’s her.

“That’s not her,” I say, desperately trying to catch my breath, but the panic that has lodged itself in my system prevents it. “Oh God, someone please tell me that’s not her.” Tears well in my eyes as I glance up to see my good friends, Stephens and Perez, step up beside me. From the look on Stephens’s face, I know I don’t want to hear whatever he has to say.

“She didn’t make it, Jones.” With one sentence, the little breath I have left is stolen. My legs buckle, forcing me helplessly to my knees.

“No.” I refuse to accept that my Manda no longer exists.

The earth starts to tremble as my world begins to crumble around me. It only takes a minute to realize that my body is violently shaking as the physical pain of reality courses through my veins. This is not happening. “That’s not her,” I begin to repeat. She can’t be gone. My eyes never leave the body that used to house my soul mate. This isn’t real, and any minute I’m going to wake from this horrible nightmare. I’ll roll over in bed and pull Manda hard against my chest. I close my eyes, willing myself to wake up, but it never comes.

I rise to my feet and take a step towards her. “Manda!” I yell. I need to see her. To touch her. It’s fucking cold tonight and she’s just lying there under a sheet. Oh, fuck. That’s not her.

Perez grabs my arm, effectively halting me. “Don’t do this to yourself. You don’t need to see her like that.”

“Get your fucking hands off me. If that’s Manda, I need to see her.”

“Not now you don’t. Let them get her to the hospital and clean her up a bit.”

The pain in my chest is quickly being replaced with anger.

“Get off me, Perez,” I say calmly while leveling him with a menacing glare.

“Not happening. I won’t let you do this to yourself.” He pulls me back a step, and that is all it takes for me to lose it. My rage needs somewhere to go, and it just so happens that it chooses Perez’s face. My hands fly, landing directly on his jaw.

“I need to see her!” I scream, landing punch after punch. Stephens jumps in, tackling me from behind. He uses his weight to pin me to the ground.

“Goddamn it, Jones. Stop fighting. We’re trying to help you.”

“She’s not fucking gone!” “She is, and you don’t need to see her.”

An image of her laughing at dinner flashes behind my eyes as once again reality takes hold. This is not happening. The temporary shield of anger fades away as devastation settles in. As I’m lying facedown on the side of a highway, gut wrenching sobs spring from my chest.

“Oh, God. Please, not Manda.”

When we're bad, we're punished. When we're good, we're rewarded. Our scars run deep. Yet we survive, because we have to... because HE teaches us to. All of us are special, we feel it with everything we are. He has us for a reason, but it's a reason we don't know. We've never seen his face, but we know that something deeply broken lies beneath the darkness. With every touch, with every punishment, we know it. Then something changed. He showed me who he truly is. Now I want him. I'll go against everything I know to be with him.

A monster.

My monster.

Loving him is a sin, but a sinner I am. I won't stop until I see every part of him. Even the parts he keeps locked deep down inside.

My Review

Bella Jewel is one of my favourite Authors. I've read all of her books, and never been disappointed. And this one is no different.

This book is so far on the other end of the scale different than all of Bella's other books. But I loved it.

This book is dark, it contains slaves, hints of abuse and cruelty. but if you read the lines in between you get what this story is about.

William is a boy who as a child hates school and try s very hard to stay hidden and not be noticed, but one day on the way to school he is targeted in the worse possible way and his life is forever changed.

He buys girls and tries to make there life better. The way in which he does this is wrong but to William it makes sense. The girls that he gets are girls whose lives have already been hit in the worst possible way, some were slaves, some had been abused, William tries to change there lives.

What can I say about this book, except It's not for everyone. But for me the lines in between meant that even through William was broken beyond comprehension, he never consciously wants to hurt them he thinks he's saving them from the live they had. he never wanted to hurt them the way he was hurt or forgotten the way he was.

Underneath everything William doesn't think he deserves someone to love him, why would they because of they way he looks, he's looking for that special someone who can see past all of the outside and see what's truly underneath. Isn't that what we all what?

This book shocked the life out of me it made me gasp, cry and I couldn't stop reading it.

Bella, thank you for writing this book I thought it was amazing. You took such a taboo subject and wrote it perfectly. It certainly made me sit up. The characters were flawless. I think there is nothing in it that I would of said to change.

I give this 5/5 stars and 3/5 for movie moments.

I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Suzy’s a control freak and has her life mapped out - work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She’s content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.

City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever – a relationship.

A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?

This is the first book in the Men of Inked Series.

“What’s for dessert?” I asked as he closed the door.
“Anything you want, sugar.”
“You know what I want,” I said with a smile that was anything but innocent.
“Are you up to it?” he asked with a look of concern.
“Question is, big boy, are you up to it?”
He laughed. “Don’t ask questions if you can’t handle the hearing the answer. Eat your food and I’ll show you how up to it I am, sugar.” He placed a giant piece of lasagna with cheese oozing out in front of me. My stomach growled at the smell and the feeling of hunger finally hit me.
I wanted him and I figured that if I challenged his manhood, he’d finally cave. All men are the same in that regard. I cut into the slice and watched all the insides squish onto my plate. The hot lasagna spread across my tongue and I wanted to moan from the taste.
“That good, huh?” City asked as he scooped a chunk in his mouth.
“What? Did I?”
“Yep, you moaned, sugar.”
My face became heated. “Well, I’m used to Stouffer’s lasagna. This is amazing, City. You don’t know how lucky you were to grow up on this type of home cooking.” I slid the fork across my tongue and slowly chewed, letting all the flavors dance on my tongue.
“I never thought about it. Suzy, you keep making noises like that and I won’t let you finish the next bite.” He set the fork on his plate and stared at me.
“I need my fuel to get better.” I placed another sliver in my mouth, closed my eyes, and made a small sound in the back of my throat.
“You have thirty seconds to finish what’s in front of you before I take your ass in the bedroom and give you something to really moan about.” He crossed his arms over his chest and looked at the watch on his wrist. I shoveled the food in my mouth. I felt torn in this moment, but the lasagna could always be reheated.
“Fifteen.” He smiled at me and I felt everything in my body convulse and scream to be touched. I shoveled another forkful in my mouth as I chewed like a maniac.
“Wait!” I held up my hand. “I need something to drink,” I said as I hopped off the high top chair around my cafĂ© table.
“I got something for you to wash that down with, sugar. Time’s up.”

My Review

Chelle Bliss is an author I have not read before. OMG what have I missed out on. There is a lot of books out there about bikers and tattoo's and once you've read one, some of them read a lot like the others. It takes someone special to write a book that stands out from the rest. And Chelle Bliss is that author.

I have read plenty of books about bikers and tattoos and I am sure like most people you have your favourite author for each particular genre. I have my favourite authors(mentioning no names) for particular genres that do it for me and who I hold high above any other genre of the same. I have added Chelle Bliss to that list of one of my favourite author's to read. I can't wait to read more of this Men of Inked series.

Girls, This book contains a Hot Alpha Man in the form of Joseph Gallo or City to his friends. This guy is so hot you just want to drink him in.

Suzy is a teacher and on her way home one night when her car breaks down in the middle of no where. She has no cell phone service and no way of knows which way is the right direction to head.

City is on his bike on his way to meet with friends in the local bar. When he spots someone broken down.

They both have baggage from the past, but will they be able to get past that.

I loved this book. It's amazing. I loved the pace it enthrals you from the very beginning. It is beautifully written. There is not one thing I didn't like or thought didn't fit. I love The characters.

I loved Suzy's character she is someone who you read about and can pick out someone you know who fits her character. She's strong, independent, but underneath she's vulnerable.

And City, well what can I say.... I hope that if I ever break down I have a City coming to my rescue. he's hot, sexy and an alpha.

Chelle, This book is outstanding. Its written perfectly. The characters are flawless. Its an exceptional must read. I cant wait for more.

This book gets 5/5 stars

You need to add this to your "TBR" list.

I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
