Im not going to give spoilers, you know I don't give them anyway. I'm not even going to give you my take on the story and what it's about. I will say If you don't read this you don't know what you are missing.
I cried Buckets.
I was enthralled.
I loved everything about it.
It is a truly stunning story.
I couldn't put it down. And when I did I was speechless. I never thought about anything for days after.

Elle, This book/series is flawlessly stunning, its exceptional in it's entirety. It's a emotionally charged book from Promises Hurt. I don't think I have cried so much at a series of books. I loved it.

“Where’s Dad?” I ask as I watch Mom pull a packet of coffee from the back of the cupboard.
“He’s gone for a run, sweetie,” she says matter-of- factly before throwing me a smile. Mom’s got a great game face. If I’d not overheard her conversation, I’d have no clue she was just upset.
“Okay, I have an idea, and I want you to just trust me, so grab your things and come with me. We’re going out.”
Mom looks a little bewildered by my cryptic request before she shrugs and grins. “Fine, lead the way, Emily.”
We climb into her car and I scroll through my phone until I find the address of the nearest bridal store. I locate one three miles away and begin inputting it into the GPS. Mom looks at the address, and I can see the gears in her head turning as she tries to work out the address and wonders what would have me dragging her out the house for. She’s a good sport and doesn’t seem too put out that I’m refusing to tell her what it is we’re doing as we make the short journey.
A few minutes roll by before we pull up outside Dana’s Bridal Boutique, and the GPS signals that we’ve reached our destination on the left. Mom looks at me questioningly and I give her a rueful smile. There’s only a bakery, coffee shop and the bridal store on this small stretch of road.
“I overheard you and Dad talking this morning.” She still looks confused so I point to the Bridal Boutique. She covers her mouth with her hand as she leans back into her seat, her eyes crinkling as realization dawns. “You were talking about the fact that you should go first, and that you’ll never see me in my wedding dress, or be there with me at the delivery of your first grandchild. Well, there’s little I can do about an immaculate conception,” I shrug, “but this,” I point to the store again. “This I can do.”
I watch as a million different emotions wage war behind her sapphire eyes before she admits defeat, closes them tightly and slumps forward resting her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands. I watch quietly as she holds a finger up to me, signaling she needs a minute. When she finally opens them again, they’re glassy but she seems to have recovered her composure enough to step outside the car. I don’t know what to make of the situation, and honestly, I’m regretting my decision as I climb out and round the car. Maybe this was a stupid idea and is too much for her. Hell, maybe it’s too much for me. I’m about to apologize and tell her so when she finally speaks.
“You really are something kind of wonderful, Emily,” she says before ambushing me in a fiercely tight hug. I sigh and feel a little of the tension drain from my shoulders, like someone’s just turned on an invisible faucet to ease some of the pressure.
“I’m sorry you heard that conversation. I was just having a weak moment. We don’t have to do this,” she whispers into my hair and squeezes before pushing me back to see my face.
“I’m glad I did hear, and I want to do this. Is that weird?” I answer, and it’s the truth. I am glad I overheard their conversation. I hate that she feels like she needs to be strong one hundred percent of the time for me. It’s not healthy.
“It’s not weird at all, Emily.”
“Good. Okay, enough of this.” I square my shoulders. “Let's get in there and go play dress up.”

I want to tell you a funny story about this review to make you understand why there are two reviews for the same book. I hadn't done any reviews for a while for goodreads for one of the groups I am on, When I seen the blurb for this I put my name forward cos it sounded good.

I saw this book on a goodreads group I'm part of and although I haven't done any read 4 reviews for a while this book caught my eye so I put my name forward.
You know how when you start reading a book and you think Have I read this before. Being a blogger and being a part of so many book tours/ promotions you forget some of the amazing books you have read. So I checked on my kindle and I had in fact read this before, back in August 2014 as part of a book tour. Seeing as I was still only on the prologue, I decided to keep reading it again.
Let me tell you, I was only vaguely familiar with the book When I first starting re-reading it, only certain parts I remembered. When I started reading this it was like reading and discovering it for the first time. Getting enthralled by the characters and the story. It's emotional, heartbreaking, stunningly flawless.
This book is amazing. Absolutely amazing. Even though towards the end of the book I remembered it, It was still everything I felt the first time I read it. Every emotion I felt the first time I got the second time.
For me that tells me that Elle Brooks is an outstanding exceptionally talented author to provoke those feelings a second time.
I cant wait to read the next book Forgotten promises.
My rating is still the same 5/5 stars and 3/5 for movie moments.

Review - August 2014
You know the saying never judge a book by its cover, that saying has never been more true or relate to a book more than this book in so many ways. When I read the blurb I thought it was going to be average. BUT I cant tell you how wrong I was, in so many ways.
OMG, this book was amazing. As soon as I started reading it I was hooked. This is a book you have to make time for, preferably in a room with a lock. I read it in one go.
So, this is what I am going to tell you about this book, not to much detail because I want you to discover this story for yourself. Okay here goes.
Blair is a bit of a loner and Ethan is part of the in crowd. No it isn't your usual popular boy falls for loner girl. There is more to story, but I REALLY cant tell you. Ok so Blair starts tutoring Ethan in maths to help him get his grades up and plus she'll get extra credit for it. They then start hanging out and become boyfriend and girlfriend. Sounds simple right? NOT the case. There's a list involved......
Ok as I said I read this in one go. I couldn't put it down. And once I got to the end I was like, SERIOUSLY WTF. I loved this story, it's heartbreaking and sweet, and pulls at all your emotions. I love Blair and Ethan. I cant wait for the next book.
Elle Brooks, Thank you for an amazing read. It was compelling, stunning, emotional, fantastically written. I REALLY can't wait to read the second book.

My Review
OMG, I seriously dont know how much more I can take with this story. I feel like I'm going to be repeating what I wrote for the first book Promises Hurt. I feel like I held my breath from the first page. I think I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
If this series was a film it would of been paused so many times. You know the bit im talking about. The bit where the suspense just gets to much, you want to look but you don't want to look. So you pause and walk away for not even a minute, then come back because you HAVE to see what happens next.
This book is like that.
It's truly flawless, emotional, heartbreaking, I cried again. Im a wreck reading this story. Its beautiful. Amazing and one you will think about long after.
