Book Recommendation

This is this weeks book recommendation.

This series was gifted to me through goodreads as part of a read for review programme in exchange for an honest review. Here is the synopsis for book one.

Synopsis - Book One

"
The only three people in the world who I truly loved were my best friend, Ben, my Uncle Spencer and his fiancee, Irene. I am now grateful for what I didn't know on that sunny afternoon. One of them would soon be lost to me. The other two, I was destined to kill without hesitation or remorse.
It wasn't premeditated.
It was what needed to be done.
So I did it."

Success means love. Failure a death sentence.

When seventeen-year-old Oxford student Emily Baxter steps forward to become part of the search and rescue team for her kidnapped family member, she sees it as her last chance to put things right. Despite her seizures and being ripped between parallel universes, Emily is determined to get back to living a normal life. But first Emily has to join forces with the mysterious Gifted & Talented set and the darkly beautiful Henry Seadon. And survive. Killing the Misery-Makers who get in their way is a necessary evil.

INTO THE DARK SERIES #1-4 by Milly Silver is a YA paranormal romance series. It's a story of family, love, loss, and being uniquely gifted.

Here is my Review on Book 1

I loved this book, from the start it had me hooked. I liked that this was something different from anything I had read. I was intrigued to see what/where the story would take me in regards to Emily's seizures. The pace and description of the characters and places was just right. I loved Henry. I loved Emily's view point of Oxford, I can imagine it is just like that, between the difference of classes.

I read all 4 books in one sitting. The only critique I have is that I would of liked a bit more description on the misery makers. I loved you were kept hanging for the next bit of what would happen when Emily next had a seizure. The sudden appearance of the boy when she had a seizure and his constant appearance afterwards kept me guessing. The Guessing of who the Logician could be was constant and not who I thought it was going to be. I thought the way it all came together at the end with Emily's uncle and Irene and all the G&T going in together was great it had me on the edge of my seat.
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.

I have not included the reviews from the other books because I believe that once you have read the first one you will read the others in quick succession. I read them all in one sitting.

This is a series I would tell you guys to read. Milly also has a new book due out 5th September called Hotter Than Hot. You need to read this book. I was lucky to beta read this and its funny, girly and contains hot men.
