Synopsis

This is the story about a girl who lived, died, and met a guy… in that order.

Is it possible to find true love and happiness, while condemned to purgatory until the end of days?

Olivia Brennan wasn’t eager to find out. Working for a division of Purgatory and Associates, her job consisted of one headache after another, caused by the impatient souls waiting to move onto eternal paradise. After a hard day at work, she was most content to stay home, watching reruns or reading a book. Aside from a few friends occasionally forcing socialization, her afterlife was nothing special.

That all changed the moment Drake walked into her life. He was handsome, charming, and had a sadness behind his eyes she could relate to. It seemed that Fate had finally brought her a kindred spirit…

But could Olivia move past her own dark regrets of the life she left behind or would falling for him demand the ultimate sacrifice—herself?

My Review

The saying don't judge a book by the cover is so true with this book. It not something I would normally read, and if I was honest - I wasn't looking forward to reading it. So
im going to say WOW, I LOVED THIS BOOK.

Olivia and her brother Tore are dead, they died in an accident, in which Olivia was driving.

Olivia works in purgatory, dealing with people who are waiting to move on, but can only do so when they reach there prayer quota. Olivia is a revenant, which means she gets to re-live how Tore and her died over and over, even the emotions and bruising. Everything is still the same, eating, drinking, working.

Olivia and her best friend Portia go clubbing one night and meet two hot guys Zane And Drake. Portia goes off with Zane and Olivia is left with Drake. After a one night stand with drake - well she wakes up the next morning and he's gone. She then finds out he's got a girl friend. As much as she try's to hate him, she cant there was just something about him.

The next time she sees Drake she's at a party with her other best friend Devon. Devon bought Olivia a $6000 painting at an art exhibition they went to and she liked it. The Artist whose painting they bought is no other than Drake himself.

Drake and his girlfriend Katarina go their separate ways. And Drake and Olivia  can finally come together. Until they are torn apart.

I loved this book. I read it in one go,  I couldn't put it down. I felt like locking myself away to read it to stop from getting disturbed. I felt in places I could of screamed at the book in places. I was gutted at the end, I was like " what Seriously!!!!"

I am hoping there is going to be a series of these books.

Nickie, Thank you this book it was compelling and amazing.

This needs to be added to your "TBR" lists.

I would give this book 5/5 Stars and 3/5 for movie moments.
