My Review
I am so thrilled to be a part of this blog Tour. I loved the first 2 books by Sylvain Reynard.
I am applying the cello tape, this book is that good I literary cant tell you much with out spoiling it. So this is what I am going to tell you.
In this book we see a lot of the old characters from the other books making an appearance. Some bad some good. Lots of twists and turns. We see Gabriel fighting his demons and Julia a calming effect. Both trying to live there lives by following St Francis of Assisi.
I think for me this book is a little bit deeper than the others. We get a lot more insight into them as people. This book follows on from the others. I think because the other are so amazing, its hard to think a third book will be as good. but although this one is a bit deeper this one for me is on par with them.
I love the way these books draw you in, and make you question things. I never realised before now that these books can be taken as religious, but they work in the way Sylvain tells these stories. They are written so beautifully and eloquently.
This book is truly amazing. If you loved the first two, this one is not to be missed. When you read a book by Sylvain Reynard, your not just getting a story you get a truly fantastic read.
I give this book 5/5 stars and 3/5 for movie moments.
Bio: I'm interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition - particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.
I'm also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.
I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex's Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.
